Enhancements
- Proxy Server Authentication. Proxy Authentication now has three new options on the page Setup - Proxy: 1) Disable, 2)Moderate, and 3) Strict. "Disable" will disable all authentication and the product will simply use IP addresses. "Moderate" and "Strict" settings each have usernames, but they handle username authentication differently. "Strict" will not allow any Web application to bypass authentication without being configured manually to do so. "Moderate" will automatically bypass authentication if the Web application is not sending login credentials. All Web sites bypassing the proxy server, using either "Moderate" or "Strict", will store this information and reload upon the next system restart. NOTE: The default product setting for authentication will be "Moderate".
- Authentication Manager. With this release, a new screen manages all Web applications, URL/Domains and User-Agent entries that are not authenticating properly. This page is at Advanced Settings - Proxy Settings - Authentication Manager, If "Moderate" is your authentication scheme (scheme is controlled via the "Setup-Proxy" screen), then you will see which Web sites are bypassing. If "Strict" is your authentication scheme, then you must use this page to manually add Web sites to bypass authentication.
- Login Name Cache. This release has a new page Advanced Settings - Proxy Settings - Login Name Caching to help manage login name caching when authenticating for usernames.
- PAC File. With this release, there is a new page to set up a PAC file for use with all your browsers. The page is located at Advanced Settings - Proxy Settings - PAC File Configuration. Once set up, you can push a GPO policy with your Active Directory server to force all browsers to use this PAC file.
- Product News. Updates to Product News can now be emailed to an administrator. To begin receiving product news alerts via email, go to Administration - Product News - Setup and configure settings for Email Notification. (NOTE: default is set to "do not email" notification).
- Import Data. Fixed database connection and data inserting problems that caused large import data jobs to not complete.
- Wildcarding URLs. Fixed wildcarding URL issue. Example would be where "*.site.com" did not match the URL "site.com". This is now fixed.
- Web Monitor. With this release, any user or IP address in the VIP group will no longer be listed in the Web Monitors.
