EMail not working

Postby Roger on Fri Jul 31, 2009 4:38 pm

Trying several email configurations. I consistently get a can't route error when testing. Any help is appreciated. I'm eval'ing. In the second week.

If you are not able to route the email to the email server then you will not be able to deliver the email with attachment. Do you host
this email server in your network? Do you have the ability to use relay on this email server? Have the attempted to configure the email server
as the IP Address of the machine? What is the exact error you are getting?

I have an Exchange 2007 server inside the network. The error is always: java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host: connect using fqn or IP. I have also attempted to use an external server with the same results.

I'm using Firefox and have noticed in the popup wind (which is blank until failure and time out). In the status bar the message is consistently display: Waiting for <ip of my ISA server> So this may actually be a config problem on the ISA server. If this is an ISA config problem I'll worry about it later as I have CyBlock running on an ISA 2004 server during eval. But if we purchase. It will actually end up on an ISA 2006 box.

Can you telnet to the exchange server? If not, check your ISA Rules that might be blocking the access to your mail server.
